I was born in Rhodes Greece in 1974 and grew up in a house literally by the sea as well I was involved in recreational diving as a diver in the beginning of 90s.
Rhodes was then a significant tourist destination and scuba diving as a touristic product was already blooming. Under those conditions, the opportunities to pursue a career in the industry were great, so in the middle of the same decade I also got involved professionally.
As a professional in the field of recreational diving I have travelled, worked and cooperated with many companies and organizations in many countries abroad where I gathered important knowledge and experience.
At the same time, I worked systematically on my development as a professional. I participated in many programs, seminars and special classes to further specialize and constantly enrich my resume.
2013 was the year that I have been certified as Instructor Trainer and 2015 as an Instructor Certifier. This was followed by specialized collaborations with schools, bodies and organizations around the world with main subject the training, evaluation and retrain of dive professionals.
During my career I took an active part in ecological actions and even today I make sure that I am present where a similar action takes place. I consider ecological consciousness an integral characteristic of any professional at sea. Since 2010 I have the pleasure of being a businessman in the field of recreational diving as the owner of a diving school in Rhodes. I teach and escort divers with the same excitement that I did it in the beginning of my career. I train dive Pros with the same principals I did 10 years ago.
I speak with friends, learn and exchange opinions with the same passion of a new instructor. Most of all, I feel capable and active in a topic that constantly changes.
